'Archangel with Cornucopia III'

An emissary from the heavens descends with a fertile cornucopia in hand. It is a gift from God to assure prosperity in the land. Edgar Aguirre celebrates the classic artistry of the Cuzco School of Religious Portraiture with a vivid depiction of a divine archangel. Working with oils, Aguirre masterfully achieves the chiaroscuro contrasts that distinguished the art of the 17th and 18th centuries.
